TESTING TO PROCEED FOR
REGISTERED DRIVERS

Scotia Speedworld is opening Testing. It will be available at Scotia Speedworld, beginning on June 26th for Registered Drivers.

We have spoken with the Nova Scotia Public Health, the NS Government group responsible for Culture, Sport & Recreation and Sport Nova Scotia to devise a plan to allow Testing to take place at Scotia. These folks have expectations that we meet all the guidelines and COVID-19 protocol to insure as everyone is safe.

Our expectation of the teams is that you take these guidelines seriously and follow them to the letter. We want to help open sport up safely in Nova Scotia. We do not want to be responsible for an outbreak of COVID-19. We want to prove to officials and fans, whom we want to return to the track when we can race, that we can do Testing responsibly and safely.

All booking is through Marilyn Mason at 902-225-0808.

There are two testing sessions per day. The first is from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and second is 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Each session will have 4 cars maximum, with one car on track at once. Cost per car is $75.00. Drivers must reserve their spot and pay in advance. Each time period is restricted to four cars and eight people per car. One car on the track at a time. Teams must be on-site at the beginning of their test period. Gates will be shut while sessions are taking place.

Each car participating must designate a Team Leader with a working cell number, so they are available by call or text.  Team Leader is responsible for the actions of members of his team. Failure to follow the track and COVID-19 prevention protocol will see the Team being told to leave the facility.

Team Leader will receive a medical questionnaire to be completed by each member of the team prior to coming to the track. These competed medical sheets will be collected at the track before participants are allowed on-track.

Team Leader will also provide a list of team members who will attend the Test session to Marilyn Mason upon securing a test time.

Anyone who was exposed to COVID-19 within the previous 14 days or is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms is not permitted to visit the track.

Teams must bring their own COVID-19 prevention supplies – face masks, gloves and disinfectant supplies – no exceptions.

All haulers are to be parked in the inside pits, at least 20 feet or 7 meters from each other. Team members are to stay in their own pit area/space. They are encouraged to maintain six-foot or two-meter safe distance. If not possible, then face masks must be worn by the team.

Team members should not share equipment or tools. If this is not possible, equipment and tools must be sanitized between users.

Each participant should bring their own food and beverages. No shared coolers or food tables.

Portal washroom will be on site as usual.
