STRICTLY HYDRAULICS TO BACK
LEGENDS IN 2012

(Halifax, NS. April 12, 2012) Scotia Speedworld is excited to announce Strictly Hydraulics as the title sponsor for the Legends division of the Weekly Racing Series in 2012. One of the most exciting racing divisions on the Weekly Racing Series ladder at the 3/10-mile oval, the Legend cars are 5/8-scale replicas of the '34 and '37 Chevrolet and Ford coupes and sedans. The division has produced a number of Canadian champions in recent seasons, including the 2011 INEX Canadian Semi Pro Champion Derek MacCallum (Lower Sackville).

Strictly Hydraulics is a full service hydraulic center, with a 24 hr on call service to meet customer's requirements. They have the largest selection of hose and fittings, both metric and imperial, in Atlantic Canada. Their Aeroquip Express Center can turn your walk-in hose, tube or fitting problem into a solution while you wait. Strictly Hydraulics' engineer and technicians are able to deal with any hydraulic system and have it operating properly and efficiently in a short timeframe.

"Strictly Hydraulics is well known to our fans and racers, as they have been the pit sponsor for the last 3 seasons " said Ken Cunning, General Manager of Scotia Speedworld. "In 2012 they are sponsoring our Legends Car division. Look for great racing action in the Strictly Hydraulics Legends Car division this summer."

“As has been the case over the past few years we are pumped again to be a part of Scotia Speedworld this year.” Said Tim Sampson, General Manager of Strictly Hydraulics. “We understand what this facility and sport mean to the many people in the area who frequent and depend on it. We are honoured to be able to do our part in making this a success year after year."

The Strictly Hydraulics Legends division make their 2012 debut on Sunday, May 27th during the Scotia Speedworld 25th Birthday Celebration, a part of the 2012 Weekly Racing Series schedule. The division will race on Friday nights throughout the season on the road to crowning a champion. Last season, Truro’s Dylan Blenkhorn took home the title after a battle that came down to the last laps of the season with Steve Pye (Lantz) and his father, 2010 series champion Paul Blenkhorn (Truro).
